Engineering Lead / Tech Lead

Location: Malang, East Java Employment type: Full-time Working arrangement: Primarily Malang-based, with agreed hybrid flexibility Reports to: International technology and business leadership We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead to establish and lead a lean senior engineering team in Malang. The role combines technical leadership with active engineering delivery. You will be responsible for architecture, code quality, cloud infrastructure review, QA governance, deployment standards and production reliability.

You will audit existing applications, repositories and cloud environments, identify risks, establish engineering standards and provide technical leadership across web, backend and mobile platforms. The successful candidate must be comfortable reviewing the work of other engineers while also contributing directly to architecture and development. Own and document application and platform architecture

Review architecture decisions across frontend, backend and mobile systems Audit existing applications, repositories and technical documentation Identify technical debt, security risks and scalability concerns

Establish coding, documentation and review standards Create technical plans that balance quality, speed and commercial priorities Minimise points of failure across systems and team knowledge

Review pull requests and critical code changes Establish code-review requirements and quality gates Audit external, contractor or legacy development
